Two derelict five storey Victorian buildings were merged laterally to form one single family house and a four storey maisonette in the adjoining building. The party wall was removed at lower ground floor and ground floor level to create large open plan space.

 

The rear wall of the two properties was also removed and replaced with full width sliding glazed screens to maximise connection with the garden beyond.
