Roland Cowan Architects is an architectural and interior design practice with wide experience of refurbishment, planning and new-build projects in the residential, mixed use and commercial sectors. Projects have ranged from retail and housing schemes to office fit outs and residential interiors for private clients. Roland Cowan Architects' work is typified by articulating volume and light to create highly serviced interiors with exceptional attention to detail and finish. The practice is based in the office they designed in Notting Hill.
Roland qualified as an architect at the Architectural Association having completed a BA(Hons) in Interior and 3D design at the University of Kingston. In 1991 he formed Roland Cowan Architects. He has also taught an architectural design unit at the University of East London and edited/co-published Across Architecture for AA publications.
Jane graduated from the Bartlett, UCL and set up the practice with Roland in 1992. She manages interior design, conservation and landscape within the practice and advises on contemporary art collections.
